Suicide rate spikes among young veterans


New suicide data released by the department on Thursday showed that the rate of veterans suicide remained largely unchanged over that three-year period, the latest for which statistics are available. About 22 veterans a day take their own life, according to department estimates.
This is sad, I can only feel something has gone terribly wrong at home. Surely horrific events are forcing the hand of fate. But if there were better support at home I feel this may not be as severe as it is currently. 22 per day is 22 too many. Take a moment and observe silence for these souls.
