It has become a ubiquitous fixture throughout the
country. Speak your mind, please...but only in this pit far from the
very people you are trying to reach. Any closer and you will need to ask
permission two weeks in advance. I remember the spirit from days past
when activists staged sit-ins, took over schools and offices at the
epicenter of debate, clogged traffic and demanded to be seen and heard,
often paying for that right with their blood.
The mere mention or distribution of the very documents upon which this nation is governed merits punishment by certain establishments nowadays. They no longer abide by the rules, viewing them as optional
formalities to be arbitrarily applied. Well, that mindset provokes the same sentiment in those they oppress. The Declaration of Independence makes clear what the remedy is.
Have they forgotten this?
Story here.
